valentineday1If you’re not seeing red, you will be. Valentine Day is just around the corner. As an artist, I start working on adding to my “Lucky In Love” series. I just finished # 14. I’ve decided to paint the four-leaf-clover into the picture inside the heart.

I just love painting with ink on rice paper and allowing it to paint itself. I do the basic form and drop rubbing alcohol onto the rice paper

This February article shows you how I enrich my life with art. The series began February of 2015, after my husband of 44 years gave up his Earthly troubles and entered Heaven’s Gates. It was difficult to find my way. Then, I realized how lucky in love I had been. My hope is that this series will touch the lives of others who are Lucky In Love.

Artist Statement:

Morning sunlight enters the Art Party Studio in Dutchman Shores in Chapin where painting allows me to fall into the face of a flower, to touch yesterday, to behold a landscape and briefly walk with my Creator.
