Herb Gardens

teakettleFind an old wheel barrow, an old kettle, water bucket or a plastic sand pail that has seen its better days and create herb gardens. You don’t have to worry about the rust as you can set pots or bags inside plastic containers.  I rolled out an old wheel barrow and filled it with basil, oregano, thyme and sage. Now, I have the perfect raised herb garden. An old plastic hospital tub and a cloth bag of dirt can do wonders for basil. A 50 cent package of basil seeds will supply you with lots of basil. Tuck a few leaves into your tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches this summer. Herbs like mint like wet feet. An old kettle with a missing lid makes the perfect container. Look around and see if you have garden vessels waiting to be filled.
