Slaw is a great southern tradition that goes with just about any dish from the kitchen. A great combination is fried flounder dressed with apricot topping, broiled zucchini squash and slaw.
INGREDIENTS:
16 oz. shredded cabbage
½ cup chopped bell pepper
¾ cup finely chopped carrots
½ chopped medium onion
1/3 cup sugar or 9 packs Truvia sweeter
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white (corn) vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
SUGGESTIONS: Mix sugar, salt, milk, mayonnaise vinegar, lemon juice and pour over cabbage, pepper, carrots and onions. Mix well and chill over-night. This over-night chill brings together the flavors and brings out the flavor in the cabbage. Enjoy. Miss Patsy.
